First of all: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! May 2017 bring you joy galore!
I have returned from my annual anniversary hiking trip deep within the woods, far away from civilization and the intrawebs. I hope this new year finds you in high spirits!
As for my personal retrospective regarding December – I had this one week that royally messed up my whole schedule. One tire of my car burst, which caused the back of my car to swerve into a parking car, scratching it. Being a righteous guy, I obviously called the police immediately and thankfully, the car’s owner and moi managed to come to an agreement. Suffice to say, the cost for the repair of the parked car completely consumed my Christmas budget. Then, my shoes went kaputt. Then, I lost my phone and my MP3player (phone did show up, thankfully)…and it went downhill from there.
Every single day heaped at least one other hassle upon my plate; on their own, none would have been too much to handle. Combined, they botched my schedule big time.
But I’m not here to whine, just explain my current status, since I pledged transparency and owe you that!

I do plan to complete my travel-journal through the US this month as well.
