Can someone please tell me where the month of May has gone? Kidding aside, this was an incredibly busy month for me: Behind the scenes, I’ve been working on a few big projects and the reviewing…well, it takes time as well. Quite a lot of it, actually. More so than in other months, since I did not want to decrease the output, but had more things to get done – several big festivities, weddings and the like, ate into my playtest time this month, which made everything pretty hard to get done.

 

I am painfully aware that I did not meet all my announced *personal* review-goals (you know, the ones after taking care of prioritized reviews and patreon-suggestions)…but I did succeed in hammering out some serious progress on various non-prioritized-review-fronts. Rest assured, dear readers, that you’ll see my third post “On Horror” rather soon! In case you were wondering: I couldn’t finish a playtest of the next Spheres of Power-material, which irked me to no end – expect to see a couple of books hit site in succession. Similarly, Interjection Games-material is waiting in the wings…as is a lot of other stuff…you’ll see! 🙂

 

On another note, my catch-ups will continue in June, but if there is something you’re interested in, even if it is not related to RPGs, reviews or the like, or if you want to make suggestions, please tell me! The OSR-material you’re going to see in June is almost exclusively the result of a generous patreon requesting reviews of them at my leisure…so yeah, I do try to listen to my supporters, my patreons in particular, obviously!

 

What’s on my radar for June? Well, for one, my print pile is emptying, which means you’ll probably see reviews for the 6 remaining books (waiting for 2 that haven’t shown up yet, not included in that tally) there. The completionist in me is also twitching to finally cover the remainder of the Esoterrorist supplements, but since there was no immediate demand by my patreons, that took a backseat.

On another note: Yes, the Top Ten of 2016 has finally been finished, I have finally sent it to Pathways and once that magazine releases, you’ll see the Top Ten hit this site here as well – this is me honoring the promise I made to the late Steven D. Russell, since he actually came up with the idea. One note: I have never had a harder time deciding what to choose – also since I have opened the Top Ten to other systems beyond PFRPG this year….but oh boy. All books that even got the candidate-tag are AMAZING and should be considered to be achievements – everyone who qualified there, I salute you fine folks!
