Kickstarter Update!

Dear patreons, dear readers!

It’s been too long since I did one of these, but with the unpleasant real life matters leaving me off the hook, I figured it’s time NOW!

Design Camp by Storm Bunny Studios:

Okay, perhaps you never had that experience, but back in the day, before Kobold Press was known by its current title, there was Open Design. Think of it as Wolfgang Baur “inventing” roleplaying game crowdfunding. In exchange for supporting these by now legendary books, the patrons had influence over the content, shape, etc. – and A LOT of the talented designers now operating in RPGs came out of the experience. Design Camp seeks to resurrect that cooperative design aspect, and I’d be somewhat skeptical, but in the hands on none other than living legend Ben McFarland, Brian Suskind and Jaye Sonia, I have very little doubt that this project will rock hardcore! Here’s the KS-link again!

Slaughter at Splinterfang Gorge and Noble Cause, Blooded Hands by TPK Games:

TPK Games’ crunch may have been somewhat hit and miss for me (but boyo is Laying Waste superb!), but if the crew of Brian Berg knows one thing, it’s how to craft superb adventure modules that challenge players and sport some of the coolest boss fights I’ve seen for PFRPG! Now, we finally get two new dark fantasy modules by TPK Games! Fully funded, the KS is breezing onwards! Here’s the KS-link again!

Dark Obelisk 2 – The Mondarian Elective:

I’m somewhat weary when a “new” author/publisher approaches me regarding a crowdfunding campaign and usually, I try to refrain from posting it, or add a caveat emptor, particularly when the pitch seems as ambitious as that of J. Evans Payne’s first Dark Obelisk module. The first installment was, however, delivered. And it pretty much redefined over-delivering. The book’s more than 1000 pages strong. No. Not kidding. That happened. Not with a delay of years either. Dark Obelisk 1 was the first part of this saga. And yes, I am working on the review…but reading that much takes time. The author has proven that he can deliver massive amounts of modular content. The sequel is fully funded, with projected page-count between 500 and 1000 pages and many recurring backers, which is a very good sign indeed, so take a look here!

All right, that’s it for now! As always, I remain yours,

Endzeitgeist out.

DO was not on my radar, it is now! I’mlooking forward to your review. It will likely determine whether I get DO1&2. Thanks for the head’s up!

  2. I didn’t see this shout out before, but thank you, sir. We’re cruising right along with this project.
